When is the deadline for the Writing Competition?

The deadline for the Writing Competition is July 15th, 11:59 PM EDT.

 

Can I apply to the conference with the Writing Competition, the general application, and the Impact Challenge?

Yes, you can apply with any mix of these. For instance, you can apply to only the writing competition, or you can apply to both the writing competition and the general application. You will not be penalized for whichever application method(s) you so choose.

What are the judging criteria for the Writing Competition?

What are the prizes for the Writing Competition?

The grand prize is a spot at the 45th International Conference, and the top three writers will have their articles published in Business Today’s Magazine. For fourth and fifth place, their articles will be published on our Online Journal.

 

What is the application to the Writing Competition like?

The Writing Competition offers an alternative way to apply to the conference, as part of our goal to democratize access. Rather than upload a resume and respond to standard essay questions, applicants will simply submit an editorial based on the conference theme.

Who will judge the Writing Competition?

The judges will include the Assistant Director of Content, along with the Editor-in-Chief of Business Today’s Magazine.

If I am waitlisted or rejected by the general application, may I still apply to the Writing Competition?

Yes! We highly encourage those who have been waitlisted or rejected to apply via the Writing Competition to both showcase interest and possibly earn a spot at this year’s conference.

 

May I submit more than one editorial?

Yes, you are welcome to submit more than one editorial. However, please note that you must create a new application for each new editorial you write.
